Avantgarde Casino believes that gambling should remain an enjoyable form of entertainment, never a source of financial hardship or emotional distress. We provide a suite of responsible gaming tools designed to help you stay in control of your spending, playing time, and overall experience.
This page explains every tool available to you, how to activate them, and where to find professional support if gambling stops being fun. We encourage every player to read this page in full before placing their first wager.
Our Commitment to Responsible Gambling
We operate under Curacao licence 8048/JAZ and adhere to responsible gambling standards that go beyond the minimum regulatory requirements. Every member of our customer-facing team receives training on identifying signs of problem gambling and knows how to direct players towards help.
Our platform is designed so that responsible gaming tools are always accessible — they sit inside your account settings, not buried behind multiple menus. We never penalise players for using these tools, and we never pressure anyone to increase their limits or resume play after a break.
Recognising Problem Gambling
Problem gambling can develop gradually. It often starts with chasing losses, spending more time or money than planned, or feeling irritable when trying to cut back. The following self-assessment questions can help you evaluate your own behaviour honestly.
Ask yourself: Do I spend more money on gambling than I can comfortably afford to lose? Have I borrowed money or sold possessions to fund gambling? Do I feel anxious, guilty, or depressed after a gambling session? Have I lied to family or friends about how much time or money I spend gambling? Do I gamble to escape problems or relieve stress? Have I tried to stop or reduce my gambling and failed?
If you answered yes to one or more of these questions, we strongly recommend using our self-management tools below or contacting one of the external organisations listed at the bottom of this page.
Personal Limits
Avantgarde Casino offers four types of personal limits that you can set from your account settings at any time. Each limit is designed to help you manage a different aspect of your play.
Deposit limit — set a maximum amount you can deposit in a day, week, or month. Once the limit is reached, no further deposits are accepted until the period resets. Loss limit — cap the net amount you can lose within a chosen timeframe. Once the threshold is hit, further wagering is blocked until the period resets. Wager limit — restrict the total amount you can stake over a day, week, or month, regardless of wins or losses. Session time limit — receive a notification or be automatically logged out after a specified period of continuous play.
Reductions to any limit take effect immediately. If you request an increase, a mandatory 24-hour cooling-off period applies. This delay is intentional — it prevents impulsive decisions and gives you time to reconsider. You may cancel a pending increase at any point during the cooling-off window.
Self-Exclusion
If you decide that you need a complete break from gambling, our self-exclusion feature allows you to lock yourself out of your account for a period of your choosing: six months, one year, two years, or permanently.
During a self-exclusion period, you will not be able to log in, deposit, or place any wagers. You will also be removed from all marketing communications. Your account balance at the time of exclusion remains intact and can be withdrawn by contacting support@avantgarde.org.uk — exclusion does not mean forfeiture of funds.
Self-exclusion cannot be reversed before the chosen period expires. This is a deliberate safeguard. If you selected a six-month exclusion, no request — however urgent it feels — will result in early reactivation. We enforce this strictly for your protection.
Cooling-Off Periods
A cooling-off period is a shorter alternative to full self-exclusion. You can set a cooling-off period of 24 hours, 48 hours, 7 days, or 30 days. During this time, you cannot log in or place wagers, but you will not be removed from marketing lists unless you request it separately.
Cooling-off periods are useful when you notice early warning signs — spending longer than planned, feeling frustrated after losses, or simply wanting a deliberate pause. They activate instantly and cannot be shortened once set.
Protection of Minors
Avantgarde Casino strictly prohibits anyone under the age of 18 from creating an account, depositing funds, or placing wagers. We verify age at registration through identity document checks and reserve the right to request additional verification at any time.
If we discover that an underage individual has accessed our platform, the account will be closed immediately and all deposits refunded to the original payment source. Any winnings will be voided.
We recommend that parents and guardians use parental control software to prevent minors from accessing gambling websites. Tools such as Net Nanny, Qustodio, and built-in device parental controls can block access to gambling-related domains.
External Support Organisations
If you or someone you know is struggling with problem gambling, professional help is available free of charge from several organisations that specialise in gambling-related harm.
GamCare — provides information, advice, and free counselling for anyone affected by problem gambling. Their helpline is available seven days a week, and they offer live chat support at gamcare.org.uk.
BeGambleAware — offers a comprehensive range of resources including a treatment directory, self-assessment tools, and a national helpline. Visit begambleaware.org for immediate guidance.
GamblingTherapy — provides free online support and counselling through live chat and forum-based peer support at gamblingtherapy.org. Available in multiple languages for international access.
You do not need to be in crisis to contact these organisations. Early intervention is always more effective than waiting until gambling has caused serious harm.
